Incredibly pleased with this place! Ordered an avocado toast w/ Turkey and was pleasantly surprised that they added pickled onions (yum!), basalmic, paprika and shaved egg yolk. I also got their cold brew in my to go tumbler, added oat milk that they have in their self-serve fridge. Great experience!
Came here on 12/22 and the two ladies were not accommodating or warm at all. They did not try to be flexible with my requests for seasonal keto-friendly drinks or savory food. They even snickered to each other in front of me after my orders were taken, as if they were making fun of me. It was a very disappointing and uncomfortable experience that I rarely have at most coffee shops. I told them to put less than half the amount of sugar-free sweetener in my coffee, however it tasted like the whole amount was added for a 12 oz size. When I informed the barista that I did not enjoy the drink, she said I'd have to pay for another one regardless. Okay, at least make the drink correctly if there is no redo for awful flavored lattes.
Great Americano! I was passing through town yesterday and this was my first pick for craft coffee after researching online. I was very pleased with the quality of the espresso. It is a blend of Columbia, Brazil, and Guatemala I believe. It was very flavorful! I had two shots with hot water and nothing added for a total of 8oz and it was great. Definitely worth the stop if you like quality coffee.
A lovely coffee shop in the Wasena area. Cozy atmosphere and affordable for those who are budget minded. Friendly and helpful staff. If you're just visiting the area it's worth making a pit stop and if you're local then stoping making excuses and stop on in!
Hands down favorite coffee shop in Roanoke, love the ambience and vibe, the delicious food. However, it is a younger persons vibe, full of pretentiousness and gossip. The artsy “knew better” barista misgendered me, but apologized. We’ve got to do better at just assuming everyone identifies as ma’am. Being listed as a black owned business I expected to see more people of color working as baristas. Surely there’s some qualified BIPOC in the community needing a job. At least one. Sheesh.
Excellent service, lattes, and food! Vanilla latte was fantastic, avacado toast and banana bread are very good!
Great coffee, nice decor, and comfy seating. If I were to be super picky, the milk steaming/latte art could be improved. But overall great local coffee shop with solid drinks. They were out of nitro today, so we'll have to come back and try that next time!
